  • John Scott, Professor at Algonquin College, Perth, Ontario. Specialist in masonry conservation and traditional stonework. John Scott is a traditionally-trained stonemason and consultant working in the conservation of heritage masonry structures in Canada and abroad. A licensed mason and a certified dry stone waller, John is a professor of historic masonry conservation and practical construction at the Algonquin College Heritage Institute in Perth, Ontario. A professional member of Dry Stone Canada, John is a certified walling instructor and holds a diploma in Heritage and Traditional Masonry and an applied degree majoring in Heritage Resource Management.

  • Norman Haddow with Farley. Norman has been  a master craftsman with the DSWA of the UK for over 30 years. Although now well past retiring age he travels the world teaching and advising on all aspects of dry stone work. His background was as a Botanist and Food Scientist but he feels now that he has found his true niche in an area where craftsmanship should never be allowed to be forgotten in a world of rapidly advancing technology.
